For entryways, transoms, sidelights, gable windows, kitchens, bathrooms, stairwells and more. We start with the customers idea and go from there, whether it be a painting, photograph, sketch, we can transform the customers vision into a stained or fused glass art piece for generations to enjoy.  The art of stained glass is utilizing glass, metal and glass to assemble the finished art piece.  The art of fused glass is all kiln formed by using the heat of the kiln to assemble and melt the masterpiece into one.

Cut and assembled sheet glass is used to create complex designs in glass that are then kiln fired.  The kilns fire anywhere from 1300 degrees to 1600 degrees for the desired result.  Fused glass is all glass on glass where the high temperatures and times in the kiln fuse the project together.  Slumping is where we take a fused project and use various molds to manipulate the shape by kiln firing at lower temps in order for the glass to bend and melt properly.

We do traditional mosaics with sheet glass and have recently begun to work with micro-mosaics. The art of mosaic work is to take multiple small pieces of materials to form a larger image by meticulous placement of each piece of glass, smalti, filati or the like.  Large scale mosaics generally utilize sheet glass in it’s raw form as well as fused art glass pieces for accents and are grouted when complete.  Micro mosaics uses filati pieces which are generally round or flat and are usually the size of a pin head and all is embedded into a base of hardener, so no grout or resin is required.

Our fusing work also includes making custom glass tiles from opaque sheet glass to accent standard wall tiles.  A great way to add color and originality to your living spaces.

We have created floor and table lamps as well as lanterns for both interior and exterior applications.  A great way to add mood lighting and color to your spaces.

The process by which the glass is actually carved into via a sand-based product, designs can be simple text or intricate stage blasting which gives relief and life to the piece.  The end result is either a white image on clear glass or a reverse blast of a white background and the image or text is left clear.  Sandblasting is used frequently for signage and transom work.

Front entries are the victims of damage and are most common when it comes to repairs.  We do repair work on all beveled glass entry doors as well as traditional stained glass repairs to panels and lamps.  If the metal has extensive corrosion or compromise then full restorations are done at the studio whereby the existing panel is completely dismantled and made new with lead or zinc came.  Reinforcement bars are added to entry panels and oversized works to give extra stability to the finished piece.
